Formed in the winter of 2003, and led by award-winning singer/songwriter, Joran Slane (More than ten "Best of the Bay" Awards), St. Petersburg, FL's Auditorium is equal parts Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac - ranging from epic rock to acoustic repose. Their influences include Radiohead, Tori Amos, Bread, Pearl Jam and The Mars Volta.

"Auditorium cooked. The band's detailed art-rock came viscerally alive Saturday at the State Theatre. The music hit the gut and the brain. Frontman Joran Slane led his six-piece band through a 40-minute performance that was equal parts precision and raw emotion. Seamus O'Dunn's expressive, extended horn solo proved a perfect fit on the Auditorium number "Crazy from the Cold," which played like a frenzied Pink Floyd jam -- especially with the giant screen above the stage displaying psychedelic swirls."
- Wade Tatangelo, Creative Loafing

"An emotive - but definitely not emo - blend of guitar anthemics and electro atmosphere."
- Scott Harrell, Weekly Planet

"Pinellas County musician Joran Oppelt is the P. Diddy of the Tampa Bay area music scene. The 27-year-old has formed a record label www.mekkarecords.com and is the organizer of the Southeat Music Alliance www.smaflorida.com, which helps bands network in the South. Oppelt's most recent coup was masterminding the Southeast Music Conference in St. Petersburg. (Is an Oppelt clothing line next?) For now, Oppelt's focus is back on his own music, and a new band, Auditorium."

"There is a lot going on here, and several styles are mixed together. This group seems to be in touch with a lot of different aspects of rock music, and also incorporates tasty electronic sounds. I would be interested to hear more. Some may want more focus from their music, but I like the blend. Though it's a strange brew, it is well done."
